Building a robotic mini tank controlled from a custom-built mobile app becomes easier with practice.
Firing BB bullets from the same tank? That’s a whole different challenge.
If your solenoid actuator doesn’t have enough power, the result is…
More like a toddler spitting out unwanted food than a satisfying shot.
To fix this, I boosted the voltage supply from 12V to at least 380V using a high-voltage step-up converter and a capacitor to give the solenoid a proper kick.
A word of caution: touching a charged capacitor is not recommended.
It delivers a shock of 350V, making your hair stand on end and causing muscles to spasm uncontrollably. Trust me—I’ve learned this the hard way.
